Alessandra Briganti Spremolla

Since 2004 Prof. Alessandra Briganti is Rector of the Università degli Studi “Guglielmo Marconi” and General Secretary of GUIDE Association. Since 1990 she is also President of For.Com., an Interuniversity Consortium for distance learning and full professor of Italian Literature and Arts at Marconi University.

From 1976 to 1992, she has been full professor of Italian Modern and Contemporary Literature at University “La Sapienza” of Rome and from 1993 to 1996 full professor of Mass Communication Theory at “Oriental University Institute” of Naples. At the University “La Sapienza” of Rome she has also been Coordinator of the Commission for the Counselling of the University.

She is author of numerous texts in the following research fields: Counselling, training and professional systems; the use of computer science in the didactic of different disciplines; Adult’s training methodologies; E-learning and Lifelong Learning.

She currently carries out several researches in the following fields: Journalism language analysis; Problems of culture sociology; Mass-media development from the Italian Unification to the Second Post-war period; Analysis of understanding texts processes; analysis of communicative processes; Communication theoretical principles.
